Coaching means you write it: what a tutor may and may not do

A college essay tutor asks; the student writes. That is the entire model, and it is stricter than it sounds.

Every session runs on Socratic questioning: the tutor asks what happened, what mattered, and what's missing, and the student answers by writing it.

Why the tutor does not type in your document

The tutor never opens your document and edits it. Admission essay coaching only works if every sentence is one the student wrote, so the voice a reader sees is real.

What that means for your deadline

Coaching takes longer than a paid edit, since the student writes between sessions, not the tutor. Budget real days between sessions, not hours.

Where coaching stops and editing begins

A tutor guides you through writing your own essay and does not write, draft, rewrite, or edit your file. Prefer to send a finished draft instead? Have an editor work on your finished draft; it is a different service, priced by the essay. Prefer a writer to produce the draft from your material instead of guiding you through your own? You can have the draft written from your story instead; that is a separate writing service.

College essay tutoring is priced by the session, but a family needs to budget for the job: one main essay, or a full application's worth of supplementals.

Online college essay tutoring: sessions across time zones

What a remote session uses (shared doc, screen, recording policy)

A video call, a shared document both people can type in, and a recording available on request. Nothing is recorded without consent.

There is no branch office behind these windows: a tutor searched for near you and one booked from three states away run on the same calendar above. What remote changes: no drive time, and a session can be booked the same week instead of the same semester.

What a package should include in writing

Before buying any package, get the session count, session length, and cancellation policy in writing. A quoted "package" with no session count attached is not a price. Ours are on the price list; how an order runs covers invoicing.

Why we do not quote admission outcomes

We do not repeat a provider's outcome claim as fact, or offer one of our own. A tutor changes how a student writes; no service controls what a committee decides.
